The hardest part achieving pristine polished floorboards is the preparation, but just as important is the sanding. In a lot of cases when carpets, tiles or floating floors are being laid over existing floors there will be a requirement to level sand the floors.  A level sand will clean the wood allowing better bonding of glues also removing unevenness to prevent any bumps when coverings are applied.

A light sand and application of compatible finishes helps remove light scuffs and eliminates all surface scratches.  Re-coats are ideally for maintenance and to prolong the longevity of the floor coatings without the need to re-sand an entire floor and in turn saving you money.

When repairing your timber floors Beaches Floor Sanding will supply all materials.  They source and use recycled materials where appropriate to match existing aged floors. If recycled materials are unavailable, Moses can match and stain the areas to look the same or similar as the existing timber floor. 

If you have a stair project old or new that requires attention, Moses can sand and polish treads, risers, and stringers.  For the safety conscious non-slip products are available, talk to us at the time of quoting about these options.

If your outdoor deck needs sanding and rejuvenating, we are right people for the task.  Taking into consideration the outside environment and weather elements is crucial when looking to renovate your deck. Beaches Floor Sanding also offer a service for busy clients that don’t have the time to maintain their decking, they can schedule ongoing maintenance to ensure long lasting protection and avoiding having to completely re-do the deck area periodically, saving money in the long term.

Sometimes your actual floor may not be the right colour for the space or interior, Moses can take care of that by direct staining the timber floor and re-staining the boards to achieve the look and feel you are after. He will even do actual samples on the existing floor so you can see exactly what the outcome will be on your floor before making the hard decision. Once you've agreed on the stain, it can then be sanded off and proceed with the confidence of providing the right finish. Popular stains now are Black Japan, Brown Japan, Walnut, White Wash.

We can remove and dispose of any existing floor coverings, be it carpet, tiles, vinyl, lino or staples. This process entails carefully removing all coverings and preparing the area for your next flooring installation. They will dispose of all your waste responsibly, so there is no mess to worry about.
